Blood Orange Negroni
My brother-in-law makes these every January when blood oranges come into season. The perfect time for some extra vitamin C. Its sunshiny taste makes an Alberta winter a bit easier to bear.
Ingredients
Juice of one blood orange
1 oz gin
1 oz Campari
Ice
Method
Juice the orange. I use a cheap juicer from Superstore for $15 and it works fine. Add the juice, a handful of ice cubes, the Campari and the gin to your shaker, shake, strain and serve with an orange peel garnish.
Accompaniments
I'd go with the classic cheese board for this.
